Films are a tree top. They are important, solid, yet naked. Every tree top wants to come into leaf and be heavy with blossoms. And every film needs an expert introduction, discussion or a masterclass. It needs to be analysed by its authors, film historians and scholars. The Summer Film School expert programme aims to provide a broader context to films as well as contribute to its wider artistic (HOT TV) and socio-cultural scope (New Reality under the patronage of festival director Radana Korená). Our expert programme is run in collaboration with Czech Television, Czech Radio and Respekt magazine, who conduct a series of lectures and discussions on various cultural topics.
